Just Walk: On the Yarra is a walk and talk series for parents who want to get active in a beautiful park setting whilst learning more about the links between nutrition, illness and health in children (0-17yo). These sessions are an opportunity for clinicians and local parents to meet each other outdoors, be active, learn together and find long-term walking pals.

Our agenda starts with a brief 15minute discussion on the links between child nutrition and adverse food reactions (allergies and intolerances), guts, brains, metabolism, chronic illnesses, inflammation and pain.  We will introduce you to cutting edge research on the role of nutrition therapy for children.

Afterwards, we will go on a 60minute (approx.) walk along The Yarra Trail. During the walk you are invited to ask questions and get into conversations with experts on the trail.

Children are welcome.  You can always walk at your own speed and return when you need.

Your host is Clinical Paediatric Dietitian, Michael Hann. From time to time we will also have special guest Paediatricians from the Royal Children’s Hospital and family focused GPs from the local community. Doctors who are interested in participating should contact Michael.

Be prepared.  We walk in most weather, unless it is extremely hot, windy or wet.  For latest updates on events, please check:
