Upper Marlboro, Maryland

Our Walk with a Doc @ Watkins Park is presented by Doctoring Communities in partnership with Prince George’s County Parks & Recreation, and it brings health and wellness into the heart of the community. Rooted in our mission to build healthier communities through prevention and partnership, each walk creates an opportunity to learn while we move and connect with local physicians and neighbors. Together, we’re making healthy living more accessible—one conversation, one connection, and one step at a time.

Take a Step Toward Better Health at Walk with a Doc

WALK

Walking is one of the best things you can do for both your physical and mental health! At each event, you’ll have the opportunity to walk at a pace and distance that you’re comfortable with.

LEARN ABOUT HEALTH

Each event starts with a brief discussion on a health topic from a local physician, healthcare provider, or medical student. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat with the leader and ask questions during the walk.

MEET NEW PEOPLE

Research shows that socializing with others is extremely important for our health. Bring a friend or meet a new friend at the walks.
