Join us for a walk! Each event is led by a local healthcare provider and is open to people of all ages and abilities. The program allows participants to safely take a walk, learn about current health topics, and meet new people. We hope to see you at our next walk!

Walking is one of the best things you can do for both your physical and mental health! At each event, you’ll have the opportunity to walk at a pace and distance that you’re comfortable with.

LEARN ABOUT HEALTH

Each event starts with a brief discussion on a health topic from a local healthcare provider. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat with the leader and ask questions during the walk.

MEET NEW PEOPLE

Research shows that socializing with others is extremely important for our health. Bring a friend or meet a new friend at the walks.

Topic: Creativity for Health and Wellbeing – Exploring movement, creative arts and nature and their benefits to health and wellbeing.

Join us for a free Walk with a Doc event at the Living Well Centre with Dr. Catherine Jenkins, focusing on the theme ”Creativity for Health and Wellbeing

This informal and welcoming session will explore how movement, creative arts, and connection with nature can support our physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Dr Jenkins will share insightsa into the health benefits of creativity and gentle movement, followed by an opportunity to take part in a relaxed walk and conversation in a supportive environment. 

Walk with a Doc events are open to everyone and provide a chance to learn, move, and connect. No special equipment or prior experience needed.

This is a free event.

Parking Information: Please remember to register your vehicle on the tablets at reception on arrival to receive 90 minutes of free parking. Parking is charged at £1 per hour thereafter.
