Hamilton, Ontario

Just Walk is a free community walking program open to people of all ages and abilities. Each walk starts with a 5-10 minute talk on a health topic given by a healthcare provider (eg dietitian, physiotherapist, mental health counsellor), followed by a 45-50 minute walk in nature. Our main walk location is Bayfront Park which has ample free parking with paved trails. You don’t need any special equipment and can walk at your own pace. We will walk come rain or shine but cancel in the event of a thunderstorm.

WALK

Walking is one of the best things you can do for both your physical and mental health! At each event, you’ll have the opportunity to walk at a pace and distance that you’re comfortable with.

LEARN ABOUT HEALTH

Each event starts with a brief discussion on a health topic from a local physician, healthcare provider, or medical student. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat with the leader and ask questions during the walk.

MEET NEW PEOPLE

Research shows that socializing with others is extremely important for our health. Bring a friend or meet a new friend at the walks.
