Central Ohio Annual Celebration

Participants, leaders, and volunteers from all Central Ohio Walk with a Doc programs are invited to join our Annual Celebration as we walk together, share highlights from the year, and enjoy some snacks & prizes. The event is free and all are welcome!

2026 Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, November 7th
  • Time: 9:00 – 11:00 AM
  • Location: Franklin Park – 1755 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43203 (Meet at the Amphitheatre by the Espy Adaptive Sports Complex)
  • Weather Policy: This is an outdoor event, so please dress appropriately (we will have access to the indoor bathrooms). The event will continue rain/snow or shine, but will be canceled in the event of severe weather.
  • Registration is required! Please register as soon as possible.

Highlights for this year’s event include:

  • Special Guests: Angela Pace of 10TV, Dr. David Sabgir (founder of Walk with a Doc), and hopefully you!
  • Breakfast and coffee/water
  • Giveaways & Raffle Prizes
  • Photo Booth
  • Columbus Library Pop-Up Truck
  • Free flu shots from Franklin County Public Health (optional)
  • A guided walk around Franklin Park

Submit Your Completed Challenges

Check how many times you completed each challenge below in 2026 (1 point each).
Take a 20+ minute walk on at least 5 days in one week.
20+ minutes of strength training (i.e. weights, lunges, sit-ups, pushups, chair yoga, squats).
Include a fruit and/or veggie in each meal on at least 5 days in one week.
15+ minutes of stress-reduction (journaling, breathing, meditation, yoga, prayer, quiet time).
Cook the recipe of the month (see WWAD newsletter or walkwithadoc.org/columbus).
Ask the volunteer doctor a question during a WWAD event.
Invite someone to join WWAD, or tag @walkwithadoc on social media.
Volunteer at a community event.
