In the Spring of 2005, Dr. David Sabgir decided he’d had enough…
After countless conversations with patients about the importance of exercise, he still hadn’t created any lasting behavior change. One day, he had a crazy idea to start inviting patients to join him for a walk in the park on Saturday morning. To his surprise – they showed up!
That simple idea has spread into a worldwide movement, now hosting ongoing Walk with a Doc programs in nearly 600 communities across 39 countries.
April 9, 2025 marked the 20th anniversary of Walk with a Doc, and we’ve got some fun ways to celebrate all year long!
Walk & Win
All year long, we’ll be raffling off prizes to walkers who check-in at Walk with a Doc events with their smartphone. Raffle drawings take place once per month and prizes include shoes, WWAD merch, and more!
