Why did you decide to pursue a career in nutrition?

I was interested in nutrition and I enjoyed being able to help people through improving their diet.

What is your overall philosophy toward nutrition and a healthy lifestyle?

“Let food be thy medicine.” I like a proactive/preventative approach to life and I think the food we eat is one of the biggest impacts to our overall health.

What are your top 3 bits of nutrition advice?

1) Increase your fruit and vegetable intake to 5 servings per day.

2) Make sure you are staying hydrated properly.

3) Enjoy a variety of foods at the proper portions throughout the day.

What is your favorite nutrition resource?

Eatright.org is a good resource with accurate information from dietitians. It also contains plenty of tips and recipes for a healthy lifestyle.
