Walking is one of the best things you can do for both your physical and mental health! At each event, you’ll have the opportunity to walk at a pace and distance that you’re comfortable with. Per HARVARD HEALTH, walking is the closest thing we have to a “Wonder Drug”. Walking 21 minutes a day cut your risk of heart disease by 30%. Insufficient physical activity is responsible for an estimated 5 million preventable deaths each year.

LEARN ABOUT HEALTH

Each event starts with a brief discussion on a health topic from a local physician, healthcare provider, or medical student. You’ll also have the opportunity to chat with the leader and ask questions during the walk.

MEET NEW PEOPLE

Research shows that socializing with others is extremely important for our health. Bring a friend or meet a new friend at the walks.
