Walk Details: Sat. August 23, 2025 – 9:30 AM

Location: Indian Valley Preserve Trailhead at IVC in Novato – 1800 Ignacio Blvd, Novato, CA 94949 (Take Ignacio Blvd to the end, we’ll meet in front of the ball fields, just before the Indian Valley Fire Road Trailhead. There is 1 free parking lot just before the end, watch for signs!)

This is one of the local spots around Novato to get out for either a walk, stroll or hike. As we make our way through summer, and all of the fresh delicious berries, melons and squash, what a great opportunity to talk and learn about our friend FIBER! Haha. On these early mornings after a good nights sleep, these things make me happy to think about to start my day. Where am I getting my fiber today? No joke, I woke up at 5 am and started packing my lunch for today, I made overnight oats with plant-based protein and PB powders, frozen berries, my favorite super-seed mix and soy milk. Then started prepping a large bowl of Dino kale to mix with the Vegan Caesar Dressing I made a couple of nights ago. With a dollop of hummus and fresh rainbow carrots, a few pumpkin seeds – a handful of fresh organic strawberries and a peach.. my meals for my workday are ready to go. There’s A LOT of fiber in my day. My goal at least 35 grams. Take a look at your meals today.. where is all of your delicious fiber coming from?

Now to the walk :) 

We’ll meet at 9:30 am for a 9:45 departure. It’s an out and back walk on flat, dirt/gravel fire road. Wear a hat and your spf, as I’ll hope for a little sun in the morning to get out healthy dose of Vitamin D. We’ll walk, talk, learn, meditate and share our gratitude…
