Waiver Instructions for Walk Leaders

As of February 1, 2025, all participants need to check-in at each walk they attend. They can check-in digitally with their smartphone, or they can fill out the paper check-in sheet. We strongly recommend the digital check-in for several reasons (listed below).

*Please print out both forms and bring them to all of your walks. After printing out the forms, make sure you write your chapter number on the blank lines.

Benefits of Digital Check-In:

Saves Time

1. After initial registration, walkers only need to input their email address & chapter number at each walk to check-in digitally.

2. Walk Leaders will have instant access to participant information on the leader portal.

3. There’s no need to scan and email the paper sheets to us if everyone checks in digitally.

Raffle Entry

If handwriting isn’t legible or information is missing on the paper sheet, the participant will not be entered into the raffle. Digital check-in guarantees raffle entry.

Saves Paper

“Nature” is one of the four pillars of Walk with a Doc, so we’re happy to save some trees with the digital check-in.

How often do walkers need to register / check in?

Walkers need to register once (before or at their 1st walk) and then quickly check-in at each walk they attend.

Can people pre-register online?

Yes, they can pre-register on our website. They’ll still need to check-in when they get to the walk.

How do I access my walkers’ information?

Login to the leader portal and then visit this page to access the information.

What do for walkers who don’t have a smartphone and/or email address?

You can check them in with your smartphone or tablet, or they can fill out the paper check-in sheet each time.

If walkers sign the paper check-in sheet, what do I do with it?

We would greatly appreciate having a volunteer from your chapter type up the names and email addresses and send them to us by email. If no volunteers are available, you can submit the sheet when completing your Post-Walk Survey, or scan and email them to contact@walkwithadoc.org.
