Health Topics

Thank you for sharing your knowledge to help your walkers take charge of their health. You are the expert in your field and we want to give you the freedom and flexibility to talk about any health topic that you feel comfortable with for 5-8 minutes at the beginning of your Walk event. Check out the resources below if you need some ideas.

One-Pagers:

We’ve put together one-pagers with talking points on a variety of health topics. Feel free to print out some copies for your walkers/patients to take home.

Have other topic ideas that we could add to the leader portal?

Interactive Events & Health Talks:

  • Hosting a walk for kids? Consider having “stations” to make it fun (click here for examples)
  • Talking about the health benefits of fruit? Cut up some samples to share.
  • Health benefits of gardening? Bring a couple packs of seeds to hand out when walkers answer questions.
  • Talking about high blood pressure? Bring your blood pressure cuff.
  • Sharing a healthy recipe? Raffle off the ingredients for it, or bring in your instant pot and have a cooking demo!
  • Discussing environmental health? Bring some trash bags and gloves to clean up the park while you walk.
