“For me, the biggest thing about Walk with a Doc is that it’s kind of the limitless appointment. You get to spend a lot more time with your patients teaching people about underlying problems and ways to overcome them.”
Dr. Rohit Mehta is a cardiac electrophysiologist from Charlotte, NC who has been leading a Walk with a Doc chapter in his community since 2012. We recently had the pleasure of sitting down with him to discuss his favorite parts of leading a program and the memories he’s made along the way.
The most special moments of Dr. Mehta’s tenure as a Walk with a Doc leader have been his group’s annual sudden cardiac arrest awareness walks each October. One of his patients, Omar Carter, leads the walks each year as a survivor of sudden cardiac arrest.
