Good morning!
Bryan here. Where’s David, you ask? Some have expressed their concerns about Walk with a Doc’s lack of depth in the Goofiness Department, so I’ve been getting lessons from Dr. Sabgir and offered to guest-write this week’s newsletter. Here goes nothing…
Have you been watching the Olympics these last few weeks? What tremendous athletes! Who’s your favorite? Biles? Ledecky? Richardson? Lyles? All great choices.
My personal favorite is Walter “Wa” Lee King.
Never heard of him? That’s probably because he participates in some of the lesser-known Olympic events, which only appear on ESPN8: The Ocho.
He’s from the Island of Prevention, a small country off the coast of Thailand.
Today, I’m here to tell the world about Wa L. King – the King of Prevention.
On Tuesday night, we tuned in to watch the highly anticipated finals of the Anxiety Reduction event. Most of the crowd was rooting for either Mary Jane of Canada or Va Ping of Vietnam. Tensions were high as the athletes took their marks. As soon as the starter pistol went off, Wa left them all in a cloud of dust. He took the podium to receive his gold medal (Snoop and Martha were devastated).
You’ve probably heard the buzz (and seen the commercials) about the young “Danish Duo” – O. Zempic and Wee Govy. Most known for his explosive speed in the Type 2 Diabetes event, some people also thought Zempic had a chance to beat Govy in this year’s Weight Loss event. Though they got out of the blocks fast, the Danish Duo was no match for the long-term power of Wa L. King. He shocked the world and took gold, again.
King has gone on to win Olympic gold in Cancer Prevention, Heart Health, Depression Reduction, Balance Improvement, and many more events. In fact, Wa L. King has won over 100 Olympic medals over the years.
The Olympic committee is constantly coming up with new events, and Wa continues to win them all. They’ve invested a ton of time and money into studying how Wa is so darn good at what he does. He might be an old dog, but he continues to learn new tricks (like this one).
You see why I love this guy?
Even the U.S. artistic swimmers recently gave a nod to the great Wa L. King.
I hope many of you will follow in his footsteps and win a few medals of your own.
Have a great weekend!
