700

Posted on 02/20/202602/20/2026 by David Sabgir

Good morning!

How are you feeling this morning? Oh my gosh, I hope you’re ready, because I’m great. You’re going to need it to keep up with me.

Last night was one of those magical nights, and I’m still buzzing from it.

I drop this next line all the time, but if you were married to a librarian, I bet you’d do the same.

I am married to a librarian.

There is a fantastic bike trail that literally runs immediately adjacent to the library parking lot. With the weather being unseasonably warm in Columbus, I had the opportunity to drop Krissy off and head out for a little bit before sunset. Definitely a gift for February 19th in Ohio. I was already juiced because before we left, as we had just selected Why We Sleep and The Body Keeps The Score for our next two Read with a Doc’s.

This coming on the heels of being superexcited after reading this article.

Out on the trail, I did see some motorized jobbies, but I saw a ton of kids and adults peddling their ‘old school’ bikes. It was nice.

Another confession (what was the first one?).

I collect stickers. They’re in our garage, and they remind me of fun experiences.

At 6-ish last night, off the bike trail, I stopped at a ‘restaurant’ that I ran to with my buddies in the rain last year.

At the time we ran, it had just opened, and they didn’t have any stickers yet—big bummer.

Not last night.

Last night they had a beautiful one (does anybody proofread these newsletters for him?).

I look at my phone while I’m waiting to pay.

Lo and behold, there’s a text from my co-conspirators (Rachael and Bryan) that they just enrolled our 700th active chapter! (600th was April 4, 2025). That’s amazing.

Then, glowing, I’m getting back on the bike, I look down to start my watch and see happiness (pictured).

Cosmic karma, serendipity, or something crazy electric was going down in Westerville.

To this I raise a glass (of water).

Family, we are most definitely growing, yet our focus is the same as it was when we were one chapter, and 700 was just a sparkle in our collective eye.

Movement
Togetherness
Learning
Nature

These four things have been and will always remain our motto.

Cheers to you for believing in the magic and pushing it forward.

Together, we will rise up, and that #1000 newsletter will be here before we know it.

When I’m talking about rising up, I’m talking about people like Dr. Khimji. I’ve not yet met my Canadian friend, but the dude is rising up.

Happy weekend!

David
