Good morning! How are you holding up? Thank you for keeping your 6 feet or more – it is working. This is the only time I can think of, maybe you have another one, where all 7.7 billion of us are having somewhat similar thoughts and emotions? Hopefully you’re not having thoughts too similar to mine, I’d be worried for you.My thoughts are a little weird.Like this one…When I go for a walk (now I have the opportunity to do this about 5-7x/ day ), I think about ‘catching butterflies’.When I go for a walk, I feel like getting an idea is like ‘Catching a Butterfly’.You’re just going along at a moderate or brisk pace (see the second #2), listening to the birds, and then AHHHH, something beautiful arrives to brighten up your life. You do have to pull out your net and catch it (write it down) because it might fly away and never come back. Then, of course, we have to release our butterfly so others can also marvel at it. How do we release? We act on our idea by following through once we get back home. Maybe it’s “huh, what if we tried this at the office” or “You know who I should text?! Jenny. it’s been forever” or “this would be so fun to try for dinner one night, I totally forgot about that”.I have to believe you are catching many butterflies this week. Please write them down and act on them. Feel free to post them on our new FB group (see Rachael’s 2 cuties below)That is my analogy for getting one of those ideas we get while walking in nature. Of course, that’s because this is what our brain looks like ‘on walking’. Thank you Bryan and Rachael for our super creative Physical Distancing logo. Were you walking when you came up with that? Finally, virtual WWAD is HERE! Thank you to our incredible team of docs around the world making this a reality. If you are listening, and you want to contribute? Oh my G-d, we’d love it! Be safe, my friends. We love you. ds |
