It’s 5 year celebration time!
Doris Woodson has been a member of the Baylor Scott & White Health and Wellness Center since inception in 2010. What keeps her coming back is the variety of programs and services (such as cooking classes, fitness classes, lunch and learn sessions, and special events). She most enjoys participating in the Walk with a Doc Program, of which she has been a proud member since the program started five years ago. “The Walk with a Doc Program has helped me to manage my numbers”, she says, referring to her biometrics. She also enjoys the different health topics that the provider shares with the group and having the opportunity to ask the doctor questions outside of a doctors’ office and being able to join the doctor in group physical fitness activities.
Thank you Andrea Hayes and Baylor Scott & White Health and Wellness Center at Juanita J. Craft Recreation Center (supported by the Texas Medical Association)
for celebrating 5 years of walking with us!

fun shout out to Walk with a Doc! Here’s the highlight…
Dr. David Sabgir, a cardiologist with Mount Carmel Health Systems
in Columbus, Ohio, said he doesn’t want studies that apply to one segment of hardcore long-distance runners to dissuade others from getting into exercise.
“The sedentary rates in this country are shocking,” he said. In 2005, Sabgir founded Walk with a Doc, a health program that brings doctors and patients together to walk in their communities. It’s now at 473 sites in 25 countries.
