As we begin the last six months of the year, a year few of us could have imagined or planned for, we want to take a moment to thank you for your support of WWAD.
In these unusual times, we have all had to make changes and at WWAD we knew it was vital that we find a way to inspire walkers to stay active, stay safely connected and keep moving.
Here are some of the things we have been able to do because of you:
In April we launched our virtual walks and we now have people tuning in from around the world to hear from healthcare providers and then heading out on their own walks. We’re now able to reach people that don’t have an in-person WWAD chapter in their community (yet). Check out this week’s at 9:00 am on Saturday…
|In June we launched a pilot program, Trailblazer Challenge, to test some ideas about building a sense of community on-line. This is one of many inspirational posts so far…|
|We partnered with Dr. Sanjay Gupta from CNN to help promote WWAD. He recognizes the great work our leaders are doing to inspire communities and, together with David, they reinforced the profound benefits of creating opportunities for movement during this pandemic.|
We are continually looking for ways to inspire people to live our mission. As a supporter of WWAD, we are always interested to hear from you and learn from you.
Thank you for helping us to inspire and motivate our walkers to live healthier lives!
